The municipality of Arraiolos, spread over an area of 684.08 km2 presents fascinating lands to practice Foot Orienteering.

Areas of reduced visibility, which alternate with open areas and several rocky and relief details are some of the attractions we have to offer and make this event absolutely challenging.

Moreover, Arraiolos presents several amazing and rich touristic points of interest : the food, the monuments of great beauty, the carpets, the accomodation and a lot more.

Based on these resources, Gafanhori organized on 9 and 10 January 2010 the "International Meeting of Arraiolos 2010”.

The “International Meeting of Arraiolos 2010” is a Foot Orienteering event, integrated in the ranking of the Portuguese Cup and open to people of any age who may participate in competition classes or in the open classes, individually, or in groups.

The global results of this event will be calculated by adding points scored in each course.

During the week preceding the event, Gafanhori organizes the second edition of training camps designed “II Training Camp New Year 2010".

Considering the quality of last year's event which satisfied all the athletes, Gafanhori has done many efforts to offer a lot of challenging maps and courses with high technical quality.

We invite you to come for a special week on our terrains and take part in the “II Training Camps New Year 2010” and “International Meeting of Arraiolos 2010”.
